LOCATION
Our accommodation in Sørvågen can sleep up to 50 people. The accommodation, which is in authentic rorbus (fisherman’s huts), some of which date back to the 19th century, faces the small port of Sørvågen and the magnificent surrounding mountains. It is in this fantastic natural environment that you will stay while on the tours from May to late September.

ACCOMMODATION
Rorbus are authentic fisherman’s huts with a basic level of comfort that provide shelter for hikers in the summer. In the winter they are still used by the many fishermen that come to the islands between February and April for the Skrei (Cod) fishing season. All the rorbus are equipped with cooking facilities, water and electricity (hot showers and toilets).

WHAT TO DO ONCE YOU ARRIVE
Several hikes in the nearby mountains are possible from the accommodation. Some local agencies organize trips on the fjord, either for a spot of sightseeing or to go fishing. Our accommodation is near the villages of "Å i Lofoten" and Reine (a 5-min drive) and a 10-min walk from the nearest shops (supermarket, post office, bar-restaurant, etc.).

The Guides

The Exploranor team is made up of approximately ten independent guides who have worked on the Lofoten Islands for many years. They all have very different knowledge and experience of a variety of destinations but they all have one thing in common: their fascination with this tiny area of Norway, the Lofoten Islands.
